Android 10-Facebook can't access my photo gallery!?

I just updated to Android 10 on Verizon yesterday, now when I go to add a photo to Facebook, it can't access any photos in my gallery. When I go to save a photo, I get an "Error saving the photo" message. I have checked all the permissions and I have run out of things to try. Anyone else experiencing this after upgrading to Android 10?

Try going to Settings>Apps and tapping Menu>Reset All App Preferences. Then when you look for a photo to share, see if it prompts you to select an app to complete the action. If it does, make sure you select the system app, not any 3rd party apps.

I did that, after resetting the app preferences, Facebook brings up a notification that it needs to have the storage permission enabled, which it already is. Of course, now every time I launch an app for the first time since I reset app permissions, I have to set its permissions again. I'll need to do this for all 354 apps on my phone, this would be acceptable if it fixed my Facebook problem but it didn't.

To be clear, when I go to create a post and select Photo/Video, I get the screen I posted in my original message about "you don't have any photos or video here." Facebook is no longer accessing my Gallery.

When I go to save a photo from Facebook using the "Save to Phone" function, it throws an error and doesn't save the photo anywhere.

Sorry about that -- this kind of thing can happen if people use a 3rd party file manager and choose that as the means to search for photos to share, so it's often helpful to try.

Have you also tried clearing the app cache/data from the Facebook app, then open it and log back in? (Don't worry, your Facebook data will just resync from the web.)

Yes, clearing the app cache and data was one of the first things I did. I also wiped the cache via the bootloader.

Might be a Facebook bug -- their app is notorious for bugs. Are you able to access your gallery photos from the Facebook mobile browser site?

Wiped cache via the bootloader?

I have the Tmobile V40 and I don't have that option. I can only wipe cache in settings

Yeah, the problem with LG is that they don't give the user the option to wipe the cache partition from Recovery. I've never understood why not. @John_Cline, did you root your phone and install a custom recovery?
