Android 10 with Android Auto Issues

I just got a new stereo system with Android Auto. It was working fine for a few days and then I got the Android 10 update and now nothing works. Is there an android auto update that I am missing or is it like everything else, they weren't ready for the update of the OS and it is just a waiting game?

There are a few other quirks that I am not sure are "working properly" or a defect in the unit.
Android Auto is wireless and the phone can be within a few inches of the stereo and it says it has disconnected. and then it connects and disconnects a few times in a short time frame and then it is fine for an hour or so and starts up again!
The other things are XM related and Android Auto while it is plugged in (with Android 10 as well)

Not sure where else to check

Android Auto works fine on Android 10, I used it when I was in LA last month and had a rental with it built in. I have a Pixel 2 XL that had already gotten the update to 10. Actually - with it built into the car from the factory it did some really cool stuff like lowering the fan speed when I was giving it verbal commands.

After the update did you clear the cache partition and reboot?
Also, forget the car from the phone and the phone from the car, then rescan and repair. Make sure you're in discoverable mode.
Good luck

Thanks... I will try that. With the holiday I haven't had too many opportunities to play with it.

Yeah I've had similar issues. Before I updated my OnePlus 6T I was able to connect to my VW Tiquan's AA with no issues. After the Android 10 update it takes 3-5 minutes to connect. I've tried deleting the app then resetting the device, even trying a new cable and it doesn't fix anything.
