From what I have read, Android 10 should be coming to the Nokia 7.1 Q4 2019.
Anyone else getting anxious? I know we have a few weeks left but hoping for an early Christmas present.

During a presentation last week, they revealed that we will get the update during the next week, so keep calm, it's less than 5 days of waiting.

Apparently it has started officially rolling out for the 7.1 on December 9. It might take a few days to get to everyone, depending of where you are I guess...

I've just read on the nokia support site that 10 is bricking some phones.

Makes me a bit nervous to hear this but still looking forward to it. PLEASE don't brick mine. TA-1100 Uk.

Reading the same thing.
Not so anxious now.
This exact same thing happened last year with the Pie update. Nokia did freeze the update schedule until it was sorted, so we may have to wait a bit longer.

I don't mind, as long as my phone survives when it finally arrives.

Another update from the Nokia Community Forums. Many users are now reporting awful battery drain with Android 10 on the 7.1.

One user mentioned 3 to 5 hours when in standby mode. That's insane.
I hope they get these issues fixed before any further rollout.

Interesting. I know it can take some time for a new OS to settle in but that's crazy if true.

Go on Tony, be brave.

Done.
I will say at least now the battery level percentage is legible.
Have to grant permissions again for BT watches. A Garmin golf one and the Samsung Active.

It must have downloaded in the background because install took less then a few minutes.

Too bad the splash screen didn't change even a bit.

Sounds like no big issues.

Sounds like no big issues.

For some reason all of my outlook contacts when synced with the device no longer appear in any app. Only gmail contacts appear.
I can't select them to make a call, text, etc.

Permissions are turned on. So is syncing of the contacts.

Since Tony was so brave I downloaded it too.
No issue with download, took about 15 minutes.
So far navigation working well. Like the privacy settings, dark mode, etc.
Too early to see if battery life has changed.
Will report any new findings here.
