Android 11 gallery issue

Has anyone else seen a problem with their gallery being tinted orange since the Android 11 update?

Have you tried restarting the phone? How about clearing cache or uninstalling updates and then reinstalling them?

Actually apparently it's a well known thing that hasn't been fixed from even before the S20. Whether you have it installed or not, the night reading tint from Google Play Books has to be turned off. So annoying.

Well the thing is apparently it happens even when you dont have Play Books installed. Like it did for my wife. Strangest thing.

My son's S9 had a weird tint issue over the whole device. If I remember correctly it was like the blue light filter was on and I don't think the S9 had that yet... Anyway we ended up finding a solution online that involved installing Nova Launcher, changing a setting, then uninstalling Nova. Since your Wife also had this issue, even without having had the app, I wonder if this would be the same type of case? Install the app just to change that setting then it can be uninstalled.

Well, as I said above, I saw online that it was caused by Play Books' reading display.
But in any event I find it a little unsettling that a phone we pay so much for and is considered the default Android experience outside Pixel has the kind of thing that used to happen on Windows Phone. Actually even on Windows Phone you didn't see bugs like this. Strange.
