I might be wrong about the Assistant issue. It does look like it's fixed. I say might because it doesn't appear to work all of the time. I need to do more testing, but it looks promising.Well...my Google Assistant issue is NOT fixed. I reported this one on every beta update since the first A12 beta. This is a major disappointment.
Also that pig puke pink is back. This I might be able to fix. FIXED

Assistant would not turn on Do Not Disturb, it would turn it off though. I have several routines the have turn on action. I use some of those when driving. So a pain when it doesn't work.Refresh my memory, what's the problem with your assistant? Mine is also not fixed and she won't do jack, nothing, nada. Actually crashes the app every time.

Now it looks like it does.
Mine didn't go all the way on the install bar. It hung at that point for a while then got the pop-up to restart.ok, pros and cons of rebooting my P5 while "Optimizing Apps"? It keeps hanging right at that spot above the 's' in Apps, as seen in my screenshot in a post above. I hit the pause button, then resumed, it basically started over, and stuck itself at t he same spot.
Thinking of hitting the pause again, and then rebooting...Yea? Nay?

What phone? Are you still on the Google beta app?Great, sounds like the beta may have fixed it for you. I don't know what's up with mine, I've tried the Google app and the Google beta app cleared the cache. Tried everything short of a factory reset which I prefer to avoid.
I read that a bug that didn't allow Messages RCS would work through a VPN. That is exactly the issue I was discussing with Google support. I and they didn't realize it was a bug in A12. I just tested it out and sure enough it now works.
Install assistant app. See if that helps. Then clear the storage and force stop and see if that helps.Refresh my memory, what's the problem with your assistant? Mine is also not fixed and she won't do jack, nothing, nada. Actually crashes the app every time.

Thanks kizzy, but no dice. The screenshot below shows what happens when I push my home button to roust the assistant. I asked what time it is and that's what I got. I get the same thing no matter what I ask a white box with the question coming back at me. I'll probably do a factory reset but I want to wait until the release candidate is out so I can take advantage of not possibly having to do it again. I can always go back to my iPhone although I'm not looking forward to that but I might if it gets too annoying. I'll just pretend like it's 2010 and I don't have an assistant on my Nokia, haha.Install assistant app. See if that helps. Then clear the storage and force stop and see if that helps.
