Thank!! Yep it worked.. Lmao. My keyboard was set up a little different, but it all basically works the same after you run through the steps.
Thanks for taking the time.
I have to send back a phone or I get charged, but it was and is good information to know if it happens again. But I'm definitely staying away from the beta. This all started with a boot loop by the way, after I answered and then hung up from a phone call🤦

I'm so glad it worked! You're very welcome!

Today with the latest update to the Google app beta, I've found that Google Assistant is no longer working on my Google Pixel Buds 2. I reported this issue wheni saw that Google was closing, but should I report it as a possible Android 12 issue?

Definitely at least have them look at the complaint if it is beta or not or make improvements

Uninstalled Google beta, but issue still going on. Reported this in the Buds app as well as the Android Beta.

I think I remember seeing that updates to the beta would come at about twice per month. Does that sound right?

So..I was a bit incorrect. Below is from the Android Beta 12 web site:
"You can expect to receive up to two updates automatically per month while enrolled in the program. Note: You will not receive separate monthly security updates while enrolled in the program as they will be part of the beta build."
So there may be one coming in a day or two or within a week.

Usually they come few days after the regular update hits and had the latest security update with it from what I've seen in the past

The quoted blurb from Android/Google does say that the security update will be included in the Beta update.
It will be interesting to see when the update rolls down after the public security update.

It probably be June security update

Edit: or you mean after beta finished?

Android 11 security update will probably be next Monday. So will Android 12 Beta2 update with security update included come down the same day or before/after? I thinking maybe even on the 5th (tomorrow).

Yeah probably right about Android 11 June update coming Monday, usually Android 12 beta 2 with June comes few days after but sometimes can happen same day as June update for 11

So today I finally went back to 11. I just missed not having Assistant available for my Pixel Buds 2. I didn't realize how much I depended on them, and to get verbal announcements of my incoming messages as I'm listening to music or a podcast.

It certainly wasn't as smooth as upgrading to the beta, but I was able to get everything restored with no issues. I did have to turn off 2FA to get logged into Google, though.

I may yet try to jump in on the beta again further down the line. I really enjoy looking for bugs to report.

That's really a shame about your issue as my Google Buds 2 work just fine with Assistant on A12 Beta1.
The only bug I reported was Assistant not turning on "Do Not Disturb" whether I'm using the Buds or just the phone. It will turn it off though.

I was also using the beta of the Google app, which is where I think my problem came up. It was an update to the Google beta app that caused need issues. Are you using that beta as well? Now I'm tempted to try the 12 beta again without the Google beta to see if they will work.

I'm on the Google Beta version.

Very upset with this beta. I totally understand that there will be glitches, but this time around it was ridiculous. When I jumped on the Android 11 beta last year only one of my apps didn't work: Textra. I sent an email to the developers and they fixed that issue in one day. This time almost every app I opened crashed. First and worst was MS Outlook for my email. Textra this time worked fine. Then my Wunderground weather app crashed. Then my favorite game WordScapes. Then I just started opening random apps that I don't use that much and they all crashed. I rebooted several times and nothing helped. I'm now reverting back to Android 11 and my phone is letting me know apps that I didn't even open are sending crash reports (American Airlines, Zillow). I even had Chrome crash on me while I was looking up how to revert back to 11. I can't believe this went so bad. I guess the only benefit is since my phone is being force-wiped I can whittle off some apps that I rarely use and it should run faster. But not what I wanted to do on a Saturday afternoon....

That is a shame. I am really pleased with the beta overall and have very few issues. Not enough to force a revert. Good luck with your next attempt

Yes, a agree with you wholeheartedly! I am very sorry to hear about your unfortunately frustrating app crashing issues. I've also barely had any issues on my Pixel 5 with Android 12 beta 1. ???????????? So far, as a beta OS is concerned, pretty damn stable so far.

I agree as far as this beta being quite stable. On my 4a I have not had any issues with my apps or random crashes. I’m also a beta tester for new Apple iOS updates and looking forward to checking out iOS 15 this coming week but android has it knocked out of the park for stable betas compared to Apple IMO. So far Nova 7 beta is the only thing that’s isn’t always stable and does close out sometimes so waiting for the next update for Nova. But who’d a thunk a beta on a beta not having some issue. :)
