Android 12 is here!!

I cannot find the weather widgets under the widgets category; however, I have one that was carried over from 11.

From just using 12 for a few hours, it appears to me, there are some refinements that need to be made. However, it loaded quickly, phone works ok, so cannot complain, just wanting some features such as more widgets back.

Thank you for the screenshot! Do you have a particular icon theme turned on? What does the default look like?

Other than the wallpaper, I was able to add a new weather app with clock; however, that ridiculous small weather app/clock in the upper right corner of the screen cannot be removed. I've tried everything other than black electrical tape over that part of the screen.

I understand not everything is going to work, I understand it might take time to get widgets for a new software; however, I DO NOT understand why those idiots who designed this decided to take over my home screen and NOT ALLOW me to delete what I do not want on the screen.
I will sit back and wait to see if the idiots will fix this, or if Samsung will give more control over 12 with their 4.0 UI coming on the S22 early next year. Hopefully, they will fix this problem and others that I'm sure will pop up cause of the android programmers who make ludicrous decisions for all or they release a software with too many bugs.

If Samsung does fix it, I'll just dump pixel like a hot POS and head over and purchase a new S22.

If they don't, might be time to jump to iPhone.

Either way, I will not jump in to a Pixel 6 or any other Android phone while this software is just a pos update designed by idiots in CA!

And yes, I am pissed off.

I'm not sure how you're seeing TWO weather/date widgets - that's plain bizarre.

But I'm not pleased with these redesigns either. IMO the notification shade is completely destroyed. Why do those quick settings buttons need to be so big? They're taking up 2 or 3 times the screen space they need to! Ugly.

Everybody functioning with it ok?

It's been flawless for me, installed super fast and is working better than 11 out of the gate. This has been the best Android os I've ever installed as far as no glitches, leaving all my settings in place, and feeling like it came on my phone out of the box. As far as the new look, I'm still on the fence about it. My wife though knows how she feels..... she hates it lol.

Not sure why, but wondering is this on all or just mine?

My biggest problem is how google likes to screw with something good to make it terrible and give no options to the owners of the product. They want to add these big buttons or items on the main page cause some stoner in basement at google thinks it is cool...so be it. But give the actual owners of the product (phone) a way to revert back or just delete what they don't like.
Google forgets, they don't own the phones after they are sold; granted, they own the software.

If google does not fix the problems and give us back control of OUR PHONES, I will head over to Samsung if they fix the problem with their new UI, or give iphone a try. I own nothing to google. Heck except for the 4XL and using Android, I use no other google products.
