Can this not be more confusing? This is a direct quote from the article: "Now with today’s public release of Android 12, we’re asking all Android developers to finish your compatibility testing and publish your updates as soon as possible, to give your users a smooth transition to Android 12."

Tbf, not that I want to defend Google, but that post is specifically for / written for developers and it is 'public' for them. It just so happens regular folks also know how to internet.

First thing I checked for is Assistant Quick Phrases. Not there. First disappointment.

I noticed on the lock screen there's still a shortcut for Google Pay, and I thought with Beta 5 there was a 2nd one, but it's not there now. What was it? Lens?

I never saw a second one. The Wallet/Pay on lock screen is an option in Display settings. See screenshot.
