Enough playing with A13 tonight. Except for a few minor bugs everything seems slightly snappier.
Beer time.

Welp, took the plunge. 30 minutes in and my first minor bug report filed. Has to do with Tapatalk and marking threads read.
I use Tapatalk and haven't had any problems using it with my P6P on A13B1. There was a glitch that when I would send a post I would get a error msg about time between posts. It cleared up on its own. I don't recall if it was on the Developer Preview Beta or A13B1.
Double check your Tapatalk settings. If all are correct then reboot your phone. If you are still having Tapatalk issues try clearing cache and data, reboot phone (again). If that doesn't solve the problem report it to Tapatalk.
Perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Agreed, there are only so many new innovations out there at present anyway. Remembering back 20 years ago every update and every new phone seemed new and exciting.
As far as any future updates for me and my 4A I think it’s the end of the line. Real shame for a phone with over 100% battery health still. Sure wish they would extend the three-year limit for updates

You're right, in the early days it was exciting times... always something new and crazy coming out. I miss those days :-\
And I thought Google was extending the updates on the tensor chip phones, but it was only the security updates. I believe Samsung's doing 4 years on OS updates now and 5 for security.

I have had very good luck with alternative ROMs when phones reach end of support. Lineage is one of the more polished but there are many more out there.

I thought all unlocked pixels had unlocked bootloader's.
Edit: nevermind, checked, apparently not. However looks easy enough to do

I've been opted in the beta since 12 but opted out before 12l started then opted in again when that ended, and I have yet to receive 13. So no 13 and I'm still on April security patch and March play update.

Here's what I did. I went to the beta opt-in page. Opted out of 12 and then went back into the page immediately and into 13. I was able to install it without wiping everything.

I do not believe that you will ever get 13 while still opted into 12 beta.

That worked! Downloading now, thank you.

Thinking about opting out of 13 Beta. At least twice a day I've lost total and complete sign, despite being connected to either WiFi, or really strong 5G signals. For whatever reason, I lose internet connectivity and overall signal at random times, and for no apparent reason. In addition, the screen still randomly turns entirely a green tint. I don't think 16 slightly similar palette options for themed icons isn't enough anymore. Does anyone know if opting out wipes my phone?

If you opt out of Beta 13 you will be downgrading to 12, therefore your phone will be wiped in the process. You might want to try opting out of 13 and then opting into the Beta 12. Just the opposite of the post above you. Don't be surprised if that wipes your phone as well.

I moved from the beta 12 to the beta 13 without wiping my phone by opting out of the beta 12 software and then immediately opting back into the beta program. At that point I was given the option to select either beta 12 or beta 13. I selected 13 and the software downloaded without wiping my phone. I started to have a few problems so I tried to get back to the beta 12 software using the same method but it didn't work. I opted out of beta 13 and immediately opted back into the beta program. At that point I was not given the option to go back to 12 and, instead, it kept me at beta 13. The problems I was having persisted - missing icons and widgets along with terrible battery life. So I did a factory reset and the problems resolved. Since the reset, beta 13 had worked very well for me.

My Pixel 6 Pro (and Pixel 4a) was on A12QPR when I decided to install A13DPB2. I took the backdoor method using ADB (no wipe) By installing that on both phones each phone was automatically enrolled in the A13 beta program and received the A13B1 ota (hence this thread).
An aside, last weekend I did perform a factory reset without restoring from a backup (kind of a pia) to attempt to resolve a Gboard issue that plagued 3 P6Ps (first phone and two replacements). It seems to have solved that long running issue. That just might become my modus operandi for each beta update.

BUG REPORT: Screen refresh rate doesn't change, stuck at 120Hz (so it appears).
To test: Enable "Show Refresh Rate" in Developer Options. In Settings turn on Smooth Display.
Results: Indicated display refresh rate doesn't change from 120Hz.
Now it isn't clear where the bug exists, the refresh rate really isn't changing or the Developer Option display rate is buggy.
Issue report sent.

Yeah I think everyone has that issue. It does impact the battery a bit but other than that it seems ok. Just a pia.
