Since my Pixel 4a is my backup phone to my Pixel 6 Pro I decided that sometime today or tomorrow I'm going to install the A13 Developer Preview 2 on it. I'll post some thoughts here.

Well I decided to give it a try. Took a while reviewing how to get everything set up for ADB side loading but it's working now. If 13 works well on my P4a I'll side load it onto my Pixel 6 Pro.
A13 Developer Preview 2 is up and running on my P4a. Several items I've noticed. "Do Not Disturb" is now named "Priority Mode", several new Wallpapers, the "Home" icon isn't displayed on the lock screen like it's supposed to be, just like the Google Pay wallet is.

So far I haven't seen any snags or obvious bugs but since my P4a is my backup phone I don't use it that much.
I did figure out why the "Home" didn't show up in my lock screen, I didn't have any devices add to the Home quick settings. When I did add my lights it shows up and I have to say it is a great feature as is the Home quick settings. See screenshots. The top screenshot is the pull down and the bottom is what I see when I tap on the lock screen Home icon.
I think just for this feature I may go ahead and install Beta 13 on my Pixel 6 Pro.
Just like in the above video the QR Code quick settings don't work yet (video 3:34).
One other thing I noticed is the new "Security and Privacy" quick settings toggle is not named that when it's in the list of toggles that aren't placed in the pull down, it's called "Safety" but when placed in the pull down the name changes. It does work as demonstrated in the video (3:29).

Now before anyone asks about phone calls my P4a doesn't have the E-sim activated (Google Fi). Which is another reason I may (or read "will") install this beta on my Pixel 6 Pro.
