I don't think you can control dark theme there

You can on 5.1 and 5.1.1. I've got nothing against people using a light theme, but when I select dark theme I expect a dark theme. Hopefully this is just a beta issue and it is fixed... There are a few other places around the UI where the dark theme is conspicuously light though.

It opens up with that same horrible blue background, but then if you swipe up slightly it all changes to black and becomes readable lol

Nope, dark theme all the way, there buddy. This app uses dark theme at night.

Edit: it doesn't show dark theme when scrolling on the 23U but it does on my Z Fold 4.

Downloaded Beta 2.only thing I noticed right away was a new app called people. I couldn't uninstall. I used package disabler pro and disabled it.

Yeah it's running just fine, no issues so far.

Installed the 2nd beta as soon as it was released. But now, I'm discovering that my phone does not ring when people call me.

I'm also discovering that when I try to make a call, the call immediately drops and don't connect.

A quick fix of this was to turn airplane mode on then back off. That seemed to fix the issue for the moment.

But it has reoccurred.

How do I clear cache? I haven't went into the bootloader of a phone since rooting phones years ago lol

Turn phone off then restart before screen comes in hold volume up and power button same time

Just downloaded beta 2 and so far it runs great so far.

The 2nd update has fixed my battery drain problems along with a screen blackout problem when rotating the phone after closing media apps.

This is as close to ready as possible. Now I need Goodlock to get the rest of the way back to normal.
