According to Droid-Life (I consider them reputable)
The SGS2 is looking to receive the 4.03 update Saturday. Before the 4.03 his us Nexus owners.

I understand that maybe the 4.03 could be a build for other devices or something and not have any advantages over 4.02 on the Nexus but we have know bug issues and have been told that an update is coming to fix these problems and weather or not the 4.03 would really do us any good or not, It still looks like **** when the NEXUS is going to be running a lesser version of android then the other phones.

Any thoughts?
And i still love love my Nexus, of course.

Seriously more of this crap? Come on...

If you'd honestly prefer TouchWiz on 4.0.3 over stock 4.0.2, then you should go buy a SGSII and sell your Nexus. And you know what? The Nexus will continue to get updates... for years. The GSII will not receive another update. It will be EoL before anything major comes out again.

Sorry, I'm tired of hearing people complain about this stuff. Its just a version number, people. You act like the Nexus isn't going to get an update and it'll be stuck on 4.0.2 for the rest of its life. Its going to get an update, but not until the update is ready. Would you prefer Google just pushed out an update with bugs still, so that people can continue to complain for another update to fix them? People seem to forget the last 3 months (more for GSM model) that the Nexus has been running Android 4 and every other phone in the world was running 2.3 or lower. Was that not enough for you? Now you're going to complain about a x.x.1 difference in the version number?

If you really care that much about version numbers, go root and flash a custom ROM running 4.0.4. That'll make you happy I'm sure. Or heck, why not just go edit your build.prop so that you're on 4.0.3? I bet you could do that and people would say they love it. They put too much emphasis on the # and not what it actually does or how it works. Just deal with it for now, your update is coming.... Google has not forgotten about you.

You clearly do not "love" your Nexus if you think its a problem that it's still on 4.0.2. The GNex is a fantastic phone, and if you're going to trash it because its x.x.1 behind another phone, you just don't get it.

I said i was happy with my nexus.
Just late night boredom, looking for others insight, not to be attacked or argue.

Looks like you won't have to worry because I believe Samsung came out and said that the update isn't happening anyway.
