Ya I heard that phones are now launching or shipping with the new update

brand new in box warped and sealed

How the heck? I am 98% positive that there isn't an official 4.2.2 update yet. Is it a Developer Edition? From the looks of it, it isn't, since the Settings menu looks different on the DE than on the Sense one. May I know your device
s CID or where you are located or at least the brand (international?)? Sorry I am just curious.

Just got 4.2.2 on my Taiwanese model, came with all the expected improvements!

Is the version that was bought the Taiwanese (or other international) model?

no it's not a developer edition and its an international version.

am located in Lagos Nigeria.

Oh Nigeria! That sounds awesome. I am in Egypt and I have the international version as well but we did not get any OTA updates. May I know what your CID is if possible?

CIDGetter is a good little app available in the play store! (made by 3ton-soft.com)

You can just boot into bootloader and it will be listed on the top left.

Hold power button and volume down button until it reboots into a white screen with a lot of text on it (which is bootloader). (Keep holding until the white bootloader screen appears, do not remove your hand before that).

Then you can press reboot to get back into system after getting the CID.
