I’ve always liked having email on my Nexus 4, and KitKat 4.4.4 did its job well in receiving them, and notifying me when they arrived.
Of course, all of that is now in the past.
Lollipop has decided it will receive email now and again. Sometimes. Perhaps. Maybe. And when it can be actually bothered to get an email or two, it might notify me.
Sometimes. Perhaps. Maybe. Wi-Fi or 3G, it makes no difference.
I can of course always load the Gmail app manually, and then manually sync each of my email accounts. That works … most of the time.
The Gmail app has, of course, decided that most (but not all) of my Hotmail, Outlook and Live email accounts are now treated like Exchange accounts. Naturally, I didn’t have any choice with that.
I really like email, and it would be so nice to receive it on my phone.
So, Google, why the fail? Are these just bugs, waiting to be fixed? Or, am I witnessing just a hint of Apple-esque evil towards Microsoft?
You can probably tell I’m not happy.
