Android 6.0 Silent mode without vibrate?!?!?!

So ever since upgrading to Android 6.0 the functionality of setting your phone to silent without vibrate AND without going into Do Not Disturb mode has been removed. This means, If I don't want my phone to vibrate...it has to go into Do Not Disturb, which in turn means blocking notifications to my Android Wear device.

The whole point of the Wear device for me is to notify me of calls, apps, emails etc in a way that doesn't set my phone off. I'm now back to missing phone calls (much to the girlfriends frustration), missing text messages and other notifications due to this overpowered Do Not Disturb function.

I understand there is a Priority function but again, this means only having silent on both your phone and android wear device, or having vibrate on both....Maybe It's me being overly demanding but is asking for the functionality for one device to provide notifications and the other one to stay silent really too much to ask for?

For anyone who is interested, I am running an HTC One M8 and a Moto 360 2nd gen.

It doesn't make sense and unfortunately has rendered the whole point of me getting an Android Wear device useless. Now I've got to work out how to roll back my HTC!
