android and exchange problem

Hello All,

I've just moved over from an iPhone, and I'm loving this Inspire HD. I've rooted and am currently running CyanogenMod 7, stable.

One big problem for me, it appears this particular android phone is not "supported" by my work for exchange access. I could be way off, but I'm guessing that if they support a lot of android phones and the iPhone, there must be a way to make my phone connect properly.

I tried the trial of touchdown, and it didn't work either.

I'd love a way to make the stock email app work with Exchange. I'm fine with any pin requirements as well.

I've googled my heart out, but can't find a solution.

Any help appreciated!

Android does support exchange.

Go to Settings - Accounts & Sync and click on Add Account.

From there, chose either Exchange, Gmail, or other.

In Exchange

Email Address: homescrub@mycompany.com
password: 1234
Domain/Username: homescrub@mycompany.com
Server: m.mycompany.com (whatever mail client they use: IE Google, it would be m.google.com)
Tick SSL
and click next

Yeah, it seems my work is blocking it until they add special "android" permissions to my exchange account. Waiting for that to be activated now.
