Looking at getting a new Chromebook. I've heard Google wants to merge Android and Chrome. Is there currently an easy way to run any Android app on a Chromebook?

I read that the ARC Welder app can run any Android APK but it is buggy, I tested it trying to see if Kodi would work (it didn't) but the app did load. First of, to get an APK if you have an Android device that already has it installed, you can browse to the APK file using AirDroid and download it, from there using ARC Welder it will package it and make it so it can run. I got Kodi to load, but then crashed out as it could not download a "OBB" file I believe... If an app has updates you'll probably have to update via your Android device then re-download it again... it didn't work for Kodi but it may work with other apps.
