Android assistant reminder not working

I can add a reminder from my Watch 5 Pro and it finishes and tells me it will remind me at whatever time I choose. But basically disappears and never reminds me. I can add a reminder to my phone (S21) and it works on phone and watch.

But for some reason reminders set from the watch are forever gone. Should they be sent to the reminder app on the watch? I can have bixby set a reminder and it goes to that app, but not Google assistant.

Thank you. One thing I have figured out is Google Assistant must use its own reminders which are specific to it and not associated with the reminder app on watch.

I think I have it working after messing with notifications on the phone (not wear app).
