Android auto and pixel4

I have pixel 2 xl running android 10 which connects easily with android auto on my car
I do not understand why my Pixel 4xl would not connect.
This is very frustrating and is the only reason why I plan on returning the Pixel 4
Any advice?

So what is it not doing ? Did your blue tooth connect ? Yesterday mine connected , just easy as my Pixel 2 use to be connected .Then it updated Android Auto as well.

I do disconnect any of my older phones that I no longer want connected but that should not cause an issue I would not think .

I have not had any difficulties connecting with my 4 XL. What kind of cable are you using?

Did you ensure to accept it? I know my truck wants me to confirm a new phone before allowing it all to function.

Resolved!! The usb cable that I used with the pixel 2 was not working with Pixel 4. I bought a new cable and it worked immediately

So I’m having an issue where android auto will just close out after about 60 seconds. Never had any issues with s9,note 10, pixel 3 or 3a? I’ve tried multiple cables, clearing cache and data, restarting phone, and force closing app. Any ideas?
