Android Auto and Waze not working properly

My wife's Flip when connected to AA wireless or wired is not displaying the sameinfo in waze as it does when my S22 ultra is paired.
It is not displaying the buttons in the top right or bottom left like it does when my phone is connected. It also doesn't track and put up directions the same and when you do get them up you can't select to change them or cancel them because those buttons are not shown. Has anyone else had this issue?

Have you checked to see if there's any new firmware for your car's head unit?
