I have a Xiaomi 15 running Android 16. I cannot find any setting to set Android Auto for unrestricted battery usage. Settings>battery does snot how an optimization option. Settings.Apps>Andorid Auto shows no battery optimization options. Any solutions?

If you go to settings>apps>Android Auto>battery>you get my menu?

not in my settings. settings > apps > andorid auto has no battery option, but a power option when selected it only displays battery details, as per the two attached screen shots.

Ok try this

Go to Settings >Apps> Special app access> Battery optimization.
In the list, find Android Auto.
If it says Optimizing battery use, change it to Don’t optimize.

Can you lock Android Auto in recent app list to prevent the system to clear and save battery?
I'll try next time I'm in the car. This kind of android bullshit really pisses me off. Something so simple and basic should not be this difficult. And settings > battery gets me the screen shot attached. FYI additional features offers nothing related to optimization of any app.

Yeah understand your frustration, ok will try the recently used apps list and see if you can lock it so it doesn't get optimized

I think the frustration you have is a result of how Xiaomi has decided to deploy their specific version of Android. Like Mustang, I have a few different simple ways to control battery optimization for Android Auto. So, it's probably not really Android's fault overall. I guess the fact that different phone manufacturers can deploy different versions of Android with different built-in functions/settings, is something that can be frustrating.

Your screenshots aren't showing up for me so sorry if you've already said NO for this, but is there nothing possible under:
- Settings >Battery > Background Use Limits> Never Sleeping Apps List ?
