When connecting to the car the welcome to Android Auto blue welcome screen pops up every time. This shows the no thanks and get started buttons at the bottom. Is there any way to disable the screen from popping up every time? I don't want to use AA.

I found nothing searching for this.

Thx.

Uninstall Android Auto from your device. It's not a pre-installed app and should be removable. If it isn't, just disable it.

I looked for it within the app manager including system apps and then using a package disabler but it looks like somehow it's not on the device and triggered by the car head unit.

What device do you have? I have a Pixel 2 XL running 8.1 and it's right in my apps manager and can be uninstalled.

I have a Galaxy S8 with Verizon. You mind showing me a screenshot please? Thanks for the help. Or just the exact name of the package or file

This is a screenshot of the app info for Android Auto on my Pixel. You can see at the bottom that it was installed from the Play Store.Screenshot_20180114-225942.jpg

Sorry I should have mentioned that I have that app already uninstalled a long time ago. I thought it wouldn't be car dependent either.

2017 Accord BTW.

Is the blue welcome screen coming up on the phone or on the car? Maybe the car is being triggered and is waiting for the phone (which will never come "online").

Sounds right. Splash screen comes up on the phone. Which is why it's been mostly annoying :)

Sorry I can't be of much help. My experience with AA is just using it on my phone as my vehicle doesn't have it built-in.
