So all my apps are always updated. But I keep having this issue and I cant figure it out.

Running Android Auto on my Kenwood reciever, with a Samsung S10.

I plug into the Kenwood , android auto connects, I open Pandora. I listen to maybe 1, or 2 songs. Then the music stops playing and I see a message saying "getting your selection"...... the only way to get anything to work after this I have to unplug, and reconnect.

I dont know wtf is going on.

Any help?

"getting your selection" means "trying to find the internet". Cars make great Faraday shields to keep radio signals out.

But I have full signal on my phone. All i have to do is unplug and reply the device back and it works fine.

Some days i can drive to and from work with not 1 problem. Other days it happens right away.

Thanks for the reply.

I had similar problems with Waze, and Google Maps when I plugged into my car via USB. Both of these wouldnt do reliable route guidance, etc. I had to manually go into those apps and turn off battery optimization. the phone was putting these apps to sleep once the screen went dark. Oddly in both of those cases, the toggle for "allow to run in background" was turned on, but didnt make any difference.
