Android Auto Google Music Doesn't Work

[AC Question]

I've a new car with Android Auto paired with my Samsung Galaxy 6. When I try to play my personal playlists on Google Play, get response "can't play selection". When I'm within range of my home's WiFi, it plays everything. When I'm away from my WiFi, it'll give me error saying it can't play my playlists. What's odd, it the some of my songs will play and others won't. Don't know why this is. I've downloaded something like 4,000 songs and can only play them when within range of my WiFi.

Check your settings in the Play Music app - do you happen to have the "Stream via Wi-Fi only" option checked?

"Stream via Wi-Fi only" is not checked. Any other suggestions?

Do you get the same or different behaviour from the Google Play Music app if you try to play those playlists when not connected to Android Auto (or wifi)?

No...some playlists do play and others don't whether or not I'm using Android Auto or just my smart phone w/out Android Auto.

Might be worth trying clearing data for GPM? Of course, you'll have to download all that music again...
