android auto music playback issues

Hi guys,

I hope this is the appropriate forum for this.

I've been running android auto for a few months now, on my new Skoda fabia, 2017. It's worked really well until yesterday. Now it will connect to my galaxy s7 edge, but will not play any music from Google play music. When I press play, change track, anything, the button indents to register my touch, but nothing happens. Still working fine on my wife's Huawei p9.tried changing cable, no difference. Tried using voice commands to play, and it never loads. I can't work out what has changed since it last worked.

Google play music works fine when not connected to android auto, btw.

Driving me mad, any tips? Thanks as always guys

Delete the app and re install. I have to do it a lot usually when it updates. Should work fine after that

I encountered this once today on my HTC One M9. Unplug the phone and waited a few minutes and it worked fine when reconnected. Android Auto on the phone has been quite unstable recently.

I've found that AA in my car (2016 VW) never starts playing a selection in Google Play Music on the first press of the play icon. The icon indents in response to the press, but play doesn't start until I press it a second time. Clearly a bug here.
