I purchased a 2017 LaCrosse about a month ago. One feature that I liked was the ability to connect Google Maps, Pandora, and other apps on the nav screen. My iPhone 4s was too old to connect to the "projection" option on the nav screen so I purchased a Samsung TracFone Samsung Galaxy Sky S320 4G LTE Android prepaid smartphone as a replacement. The OS is 6.01 "marshmallow" and sure enough, it connected right out of the box. But the phone had some other issues (wrong serial number, phone number didn't transfer, etc.). I resolved the phone issues with TracFone support and the phone now works fine for everything except projecting Android Auto onto the nav screen. When I tap projection on the nav screen an error message on the nav screen says "projection device not connected. To view this feature, connect supported device to USB." Things I've already tried:
• removed vehicle from "accepted cars" in the AA settings, then reconnected Buick Intellilink
• unpaired and re-paired my phone. Still no joy
• The car apparently recognizes the device, as "Bluetooth device connected Android Auto"
• Car connects and disconnects from AA as one would expect with messages to that effect on the nav screen
• during the setup process I've selected "Allow" on every option presented
I've gone through the options/preferences menus on the car and can't find a setting to change. How should I continue my troubleshooting on this?
