Buy why? Why would you want to turn a fully-functional Android Tablet which runs any Android Application in an Android Auto Headunit? Yes, you will have a user interface that is better suited to use in your car but you will loose a lot of functionality.

This is for better car functionality, it is meant to do the same thing as an expensive Kenwood/Pioneer/Sony or other head units... without spending a whole lot of money, or simply to use it on your phone while you are driving. Android Auto is a concept were you are connected to the world while you are driving but the connection is limited so it is less distractive... You can still use the tablet to run all other application as well... this is just a simple app which you use while you're driving.... nothing else.
