Android Auto Problem

I have a S9+ and I recently purchased a new vehicle with Android Auto.

Since I have gotten it (about 2 weeks) my AA calling feature only works half of the time. I am connected via USB to my vehicle (2018 Chevy Colorado).

I can get Google to respond to my commands of calling who I would like to call, but when the call begins, I have no sound. I cannot hear it ringing or anything, then whatever music/radio I was previously listening to, comes back on while the call is still going on.

This only happens half of the time, the other half it works normally and I can talk to/hear other people while making a call.

Not sure if this is related, but I did encounter an issue recently where I hit play on my Spotify (using AA in my car) and it did not play. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and it was fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

The USB connection on a car audio is normally for mp3 players, not Android phones (so it sometimes works, it sometimes doesn't, depending on what's where on your phone). Try connecting via Bluetooth.

@rubkat that's incorrect. if the usb connection is meant for Android auto it should work.
