Android Auto sound issue

I just got myself a new F-150 with sync 3 and Android Auto. I've had a weird problem with the sound and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Everything works fantastic through the truck. It's when I'm done driving and disconnect the phone. I can not get any audio to play through the phone's speakers till I reboot. It does it every time. I'll get to work and want to fire up some music or a youtube and boom, no sound. I'm thinking it has to be something with the G6. Anyone else out there???

Android auto still causes a lot of issues. I wouldn't blame the phone. I've had my phone reboot on its own when disconnecting it from Android auto. I've also had Bluetooth issues where it shows my phone is connected but and I can use Android auto but audio won't play through the car.
