Android auto... sure when its safe

[Android Central Question]

I just started to use androud auto and am having a few issues. First being it wont project to my chevy malibu. Second being once it does it only says "sure tap the notification and close android auto. Then allow access to some things." Help me.

Are you using it via the USB cable connection?
I have used Android Auto on Hyundai cars and Chevy cars and usually no issues whatsoever.
