Android Auto turn by turn verbal navigation acting weird

For years AA has worked perfectly on my 2017 vehicle that works with AA. Always providing turn by turn verbal instructions. Then we had issues with it not talking but I was able to fix that. We are out of town and night before last it worked perfectly with verbal instructions taking us to a restaurant. Then yesterday morning I was going to get gas and it started off providing verbal turn by turn instructions then after about four verbal instructions it stopped talking and didn't talk the rest of the way. After getting gas I used it to navigate back to the hotel. Again I got verbal instructions for the first few turn then it stopped talking. It worked like that the rest of the day until we were using it after it had stopped talking and about 15 minutes later it started talking again. Then last night it worked perfectly navigating to another restaurant. Going to use it today to see how it works.

Anyone else have similar problems?

I downloaded the latest version but that was after the first problems and we continued to have problems after the download and install. I was thinking it might be a loss of internet connection but all this took place in the Monterey Bay area of California where we have been many time with no problems with AA navigation. Our phones are Samsung Galaxy S1s which we have previously used in the area with no problems. BTW - We used AA navigation on the way home and AA navigation stopped talking along Hwy 1 and didn't start talking again until we were approaching I-5 and worked the rest of the way home. Weird.

The way you describe it does sound like Internet connection issue was going say try previous version of AA and see if it still happens
