Hi,

I am trying to find if there are any well known benchmark tools which a developer. I am interested to know the basic metrics such as CPU utilization, memory consumption, 2D,3D graphics performance (of the device not the application) etc.

I came across tools like Quadrant (which gives me a relative score compared to Android devices in the market) and Benchmark. But I am not sure if these are the popular tools. I read reviews both for and against its credibility. I am looking for tools which gives me results which would be useful enough for someone who may not be that familiar with Android

What are some good tools out there for this purpose?

Quadrant is a somewhat useful app in regards to doing tweaks on your own device, provided you keep consistancy in the settings. ie, set it up and leave it alone.

As you have read, you can manipulate the results based on for example, governor settings, etc. Once you play around with it, the results will place your 3yr old device on par with a new device. HA!

But if you want to check performance of say, different kernels, I would say it's useful provided the testing parameters remain the same, and you don't use it to compare to different devices.
