I am a manager for an adventure tourism company. Our clients purchase photos and videos captured on a GoPro during the activity, and 90% of the time we transfer the media to the client's phone directly from the camera's MicroSD card to their phone via a card reader, no issues.

Occasionally they request that the media is transferred to a USB flash drive that we supply.

We are copying the media to our phone (vary between Galaxy 8/9 & Huawei Mate 20 depending on staff). All running the latest android software.

Media transfers with 100% reliability onto our phones. But when we transfer the folder containing 30-40 jpgs and 3-4 mp4 videos, we have a 1 in 10 failure rate where either the last video transferred is corrupt or multiple files are corrupt on the USB drive.

We cannot always pick up the error on site, as we check the integrity of the files before ejecting. Clients will still get in touch with us finding corrupt files when they get back home.

Is there an issue with the stock android file transfer file management software? Issue with the USB drives?
