Does location services have to be on to remotely wipe the phone? I understand it needs to be on to locate the phone but what about just wiping it if your phone is lost or stolen?

Try it. Let us know how it goes.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if location services are on or off.

I turned off Location services and I was able to make her Ring and Lock my G3. I guessing you can Wipe it too.
