Android device not showing on computer

[AC Question]

Just updated to Marshmallow and now when I connect the phone via USB to the computer (Win 10), the device does not show in explorer as it did on the previous version.
I set the developer options/USB configuration to MTP, but the problem persists.
I've reserarched that Marshmallow does not switch automatically, but then how do I do it?

I am getting the same issue, the pc will only charge the phone (samsung S7). Even when I try to change the setting to the MTP or any of the other options, I get nothing. It is almost like the phone has locked on "charging". The drivers have been loaded on the pc and I have also converted to the developer mode with usb debugging. Not sure where to go from here.
