Android displaying special characters wrongly as Chinese words

I'm using a Huawei Ascend P1 LTE Non-camera edition running Android 4.0.2 and realized that some music file names with special characters such as Les Mis?rables and Canci?n del Mariachi are not displayed correctly. The ?r is being displayed as 閞 while ?n is displayed as 髇. The band Mot?rhead is being displayed as Mot鰎head. Anyone knows how I can fix this?
