Going into the email as I touch any part of the screen the inbox/outbox column keep getting larger and then fills the entire screen.

How do I correct this. It only does it in landscape mode and l0oks fine in portrait.

Welcome to Android Central! Is the text getting larger as well, or is it only the column itself that's getting wider?

The font is fine. As I said, once I open the email the column starts moving across the screen until the e-mail disappear.

Well I've tried both methods:
1.) Power/Volume Up and Home Key hold for cash partitioning
2.) Through the Settings/General/Appl. Mgr.

Nothing works...the column keeps running to the right on its own.

Sorry no luck,,any other suggetions?

Are you saying that you successfully cleared the cache partition in the Recovery Menu, or that you were unable to do this?

It's times like these when I wish I could have the device in hand to test it out personally. If you're near a Best Buy, you could try bringing it there and asking the Samsung Experience rep if they have any insight (although they're probably more familiar with current devices, rather than older ones).

Yes, I successfully cleared the cache partition, not only once but then did it again and with comments that
it has been cleared.

Are you able to adjust the column width manually by pressing on the column divider and dragging it back over?

I tried that and no luck. It works when in the portrait mode.

As you suggested, I may take it to Best Buy and see if those Geeks can figure it out.

Have you tried to download one of the third party email apps available on the store? Why don't you give MailDroid a try here.

That's a good point. A recommendation for MailDroid from maildroiddev (presumably the app's developer) obviously might be a little biased ;), but from an objective standpoint, I can say that I've seen many recommendations from other users as well for this email client, so it'd definitely worth a try. You could also consider other clients like Aqua Mail, K-9, and even the Gmail app (which now allows you to add multiple non-Gmail accounts).
