android internet through pc

Is it possible to use my internet of my computer is plugged into for my phone? i have no wifi. I have no 3g coverage and EDGE is just slow. I don't want to use my phone as a modem, just the opposite.

Any ideas?

Well the only way I could think of doing that would require a wifi setup with bridge. For instance using a wireless card in your PC to create an ad hoc and bridge the wifi and LAN connections. But using just the cable I dont think it can pull data from the computer that way without alot of messing around with new connections and such.
