As title. How?

In the past I almost always use my smartphone standalone, but recently I start to connect it to my PC and found that the battery of Samsung A32 will keep draining if plugin to PC's usb port.

I search the internet and some said I should be able to charge the smartphone when plugged into PC usb port but seems it didn't, since I want to use usb tethering at the same time.

So, anyway to charge android phone and do usb tethering (easytether app) at the same time?

Computer USB port standards are meant for data transfer, not phone charging. Yes they do transmit power, but it's a minimal amount not capable of charging most modern phones while they are in use.

The cheapest option would maybe be a powered USB hub. I see some of them that contain specific charging ports, though I'm not sure off hand if those are only charge or charge plus data. Otherwise you'll have to see about upgrading the motherboard or case (for front IO charging ports) for something specific to charging. I have an older MSI mobo that has a charging capable USB port for iPhones but will barely charge my phone as long as I'm not actively using it. Pretty sure you can get some with actual USB power delivery now. Be Quiet! makes a case with wireless charging built in to the top panel, but it's one of their premium options.

The hub with charging ports probably are purely just for charging I guess?

That's why I said it may be a possibility. I personally haven't used anything like that, but the way that one is advertised makes it seem like the charging ports are for data too.

Why are you wanting to tether your phone? If it's just for file transfers, I would actually suggest getting the Google Quick Share app on your computer so you can do wireless transfers over WiFi.

Bluetooth is required, which doesn't make sense but I found that out the hard way. A basic USB Bluetooth adaptor got it working great for me, and this would allow you to plug your phone into a regular charger.
