Any idea if this release will be fixed the issue with the drain battery??

There is no DRAIN BATTERY issue. Not sure where you came up with that term. Try some power saving features.
BUT, it has been said that 4.1.2 does increase battery life.

I have a SGS2 international version, after the update pushed via kies to 4.1.2 I enjoyed great battery life AFTER I wiped my device clean, did reinstall then reinstalled apps.
Before that, battery life was 2-3 hrs! Really! Before i had 10-15 hrs heavy use.
The only problem was mobile connectivity, after a bunch of searches, I came up with this that worked:

Manually configure APN settings
You can create a new Access Point Network setting. Try the following.

From the Home screen, tap Menu.
Tap Settings.
Select Wireless and networks.
Select Mobile networks.
Select Access Point Names.
Tap Menu.
Tap New APN.
Complete the following fields:
Select Name. Type any name you want which will allow you to identify your connection (Example: TELUS 2011).
Tap OK.
Select APN.
Type sp.telus.com
Tap OK.
Select Proxy.
Type 74.49.0.18
Tap OK.
Select Port.
Type 80.
Tap OK.
Tap Menu.
Tap Save.
From the Access Point Names screen, select the new APN you just created.
Restart your smartphone.
Your new Access Point is created.

This worked perfectly. All the others, turn wireless off, airplane mode, restart, whatever did NOT, this did.

I have a Samsung S3 from an Asian Carrier and one from Bell, the one running 4.1.2 and it is dramatically better on batter then my 4.1.1 Bell device. Hate the wait but it will be worth the upgrade.

Canadian telecom are always late with developments, that's why even if these carriers are charging incoming calls to your cellphones is a way weirder than anything else. Only Canada are taking advantage of their mobile users for charging the callers and receivers a fee for their mobile users. this has to be stop by taking simple actions. Once we get the updates on adnroid 4.1.2 in any networks in canada will keep you posted. please checkout our page Telekomxchange

That's great news... but sadly the Samsung just prepared 4.2.2 with features the S4 has for the international market... we're always a step or two behind...

Hey a posting on Facebook samsung Mobile Canada that 4.1.2 is out for all Canadian national carriers. Wind Mobile, mobilicity and other regional carriers are in the near future.

I am in BC on Telus. Loaded it last night and now the phone rings and I can not answer it. Screen stays locked. When I unlock it I still cant answer it.
The call history does not show who called either. Its really pissing me off.

It turns out that my gmail notification was set to the same as my default ring tone. So all my emails were misleading me into thinking I had calls coming in.

I'm back to loving the firmware update.

It is pushing to Rogers phones as of yesterday as well, a co-worker had his update last night but mine is yet to be done.

I feel like this is a good update but it feels like my Rogers SGS3 got a bit slower... and I don't like how Burst Mode photos are now forced to be saved on the device instead of the SD Card.

Otherwise I like the update... S Voice is now more useable... it responds very quickly and understands things better. Multi-view is cool... they've added group sharing capabilities... the camera seems to focus faster and there are more settings. The Gallery has been upgraded. Some other improved or new software as well.

Overall I like the update!

Ever since I updated my phone last night (Rogers) it has trouble playing YOUTUBE and Instagram videos! It will play about 2 or 3 videos and then it will give you a consistent error and won't play them.
YouTube just gives me the "Something went wrong, tap to retry". But it consistently returns with that error.

Anybody else having video troubles from the recent update? I checked all my apps are up to date too.

I've had it for a few days now. I love it except for now I get repeated email notifications for an old message. It is constantly showing me as having unread mail. Never had this before.
