What are you guys' thoughts on how soon the OnePlus 2 will get the Android M update? I'm hoping it will be very soon, since Oxygen OS is mostly stock, with a few updates. And since it's already unlocked, OnePlus shouldn't have any serious red tape. What say ye?

I dunno, they don't have a very large team of people working on the OS. There are still things like optimization to be done. It's hard to tell at this point I would say.

It will depend on when Google gives them access to the code and how long it takes them to add their touches to it. Hopefully it wouldn't be too long, but after Android M, there is no guarantee of an update, so X.1 or X.1.1 may or may not ever happen. Under $400 is not a huge hit (for most) but when you compare it to Moto X Pure you get a lot more for your money and nearly the same price.

Based on how light Oxygen OS is, I wouldn't expect it to take very long. It's literally just stock Android with some customizations to functionality. Android M should already take care of the fingerprint scanner, and some other Android M features are already in Oxygen OS, so some of the work should be done for them.

I think it will take more than100 days after the release of the source code, maybe even more.

I don't doubt that their version is light and nearly stock, but they don't have the resources to actually support rapid updates. That is a huge concern to me, they have 1 phone on the market and the second is launching and yet they won't guarantee much beyond 1 update, that could be stock M and that's it. Not something I am willing to drop $400 on, not a huge sum, but when I can get a Moto X Pure (wish it had fingerprint) and get support for longer. Moto X.
