Android Market Comments

There are a lot of pointless comments on apps that are just a waste of time. There needs to be a rating system or some other way to stop all the spamming and comments that are not even remotely related to the product.

Oh, I completly agree. There are about 2 actual useful pieces of information on there. Its just a bunch of kids posting about something they don't understand.

So of the "apps" are libraries or functionality for other apps. People post that the it dosent work or anything. Any ideas what can be done, or added to stop these things? A captcha would work for the spam, I think, but what about the other stuff? Also, it could be added that only people that download the app could comment. That is one thing that bothers me a lot about the marketplace.

I assume that is coming, along with moderated comments, when the Market is updated next year. The basic nature of it will change when developers start charging for apps.

There are some decent desktop overlays on the market, but they don't provide much in the way of additional functionality.
