OK I got honeycomb running on the SD card...the marketplace stuff has me scratching my head...where is the virtual device? Do I need to have the card in the nook and plug it into the usb port?

Iamanidiot....

Thanks!

lol at least you got marketplace on yours, i'm still having trouble.

And I'm not a novice but have rooted around 40 Android devices at this point, but i'll be damned if I've ever run a ROM image off an SD card, let alone gotten it to take an adb push.

Nook Color is my kryptonite so far.

One of the partitions on the SD card will be named "SD card" or something similar.

You're not an idiot - this is some serious hoo-doo!

I can't seem to get Marketplace installed, either, but it looks like the PC isn't recognizing Nookie as an Android device.

My NC is booted up to Honeycomb and attached to the PC but the PC still sees it as an NC. Is this common or will I brick the thing by trying to push marketplace to it?

That makes me feel better. I'll keep trying! :-)

HA! I think since my Nookie is booted on the SD card to HC, the PC sees it as a "mass storage USB device".

Yes? Is this how your computer sees your phone when you hook it to the USB cable?
