Hi everyone,

I’m in urgent need of help.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus (SM-X210), and I recently replaced the USB charging port using a heat gun and basic tools. After the replacement, the tablet started showing signs of life — it charges, and when I connect it to my PC, I can hear the Windows connection sound.

However, the screen remains completely black, and there’s no display at all. The tablet is detected by my PC as:

Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
(Which I understand means it's in EDL Mode)

I believe the firmware might have been corrupted during the process. I'm now trying to recover the tablet using QFIL, but I can't find the necessary files:

  • prog_firehose_sm6375.elf
  • rawprogram0.xml
  • patch0.xml

I don’t have access to paid resources, so if anyone has a free dump or working EDL firmware for this model, I would really appreciate your help.

Summary:

  • Model: Samsung Tab A9 Plus (SM-X210)
  • Issue started after USB port replacement
  • Device stuck in EDL mode (9008)
  • Screen is black, no boot/logo
  • Need: .elf + .xml files for QFIL recovery
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help 🙏

You will need Odin and Frija download to your computer and see if your phone with a known good Data transfer cable can be recognized in Odin, if not then repair shop.

Thank you for your reply!

Actually, my device is not showing anything on the screen – it's completely black. After I replaced the USB charging port, it went into EDL mode (Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008), and I can’t get it into Download Mode (Odin Mode) at all.

Usually its the power and volume down until download mode appears
I'm assuming you did the work with the USB port? Anything shorted out , you have to use a magnifying glass to see the solder and correct very fine tip solder or you can damage the circuit board

I actually tried them(buttons) and tried test points. The last point I have come to is to find the files I asked about. After finding the files, go to download mode with qfil and reinstall the system with odin.
But I've searched the entire internet and forums and can't find it. I hope someone has it.
I'm not thinking of going to the service, they wanted 150, it's crazy!

Unfortunately you won't get the files unless u can boot it up to the home screen:(
They are protected by Android security
