I have registered my device and I still haven't gotten a update pending yet? I tried to unregister and re register but the update is still not appearing on my Nexus 5x I bought from Google play store .any idea?

If noting happens you could try waiting for a day
Waiting sounds like a good idea. It may be that the N updates are down temporarily in preparation for pushing out the 5th developer preview of N. DP5 could start going out any day now, but Friday is the 15th, which would be a full 30 days after the release of DP4.

Did you ever get the OTA? I just got a new 5x (replacement device) and it's enrolled but I'm not getting the OTA.

Omg yes I did. Same situation. Had it on my old device. Got a replacement from Google and now no ota even after enrolling it

so still no OTA after 3 days for you? I'm going to just flash it if i don't get it tomorrow but i'd have preferred the OTA!

No OTA Andriod N Developer Preview 5 for my Nexus 6P yet, and it's enrolled in the Android N beta program. It's never taken this long in the past; it's usually released on the same day as the downloadable files. Not a big deal personally, but it's an observation I thought I'd share to see if it's a widespread issue or just me!

Very odd.
It sure is odd. Makes me wonder if the version of DP5 that has already gone out was causing problems beyond the temporary battery drainage some people have reported. Looks like there's yet another updated radio implementation in NPD90G (39R). Maybe that's not playing well across the board. Bluetooth on DP5 seems clunky to me compared to DP4: my N6 sure doesn't pair effortlessly, as it did on DP4.

FYI, there is chatter on reddit about DP5 allegedly causing overheating problems on the 6P:

I can't speak for other phones, but I haven't run into any heat issues. Since I loaded it, the highest temp registered on the battery sensor was 100F. That includes charging sessions, Waze usage, some Pokemon Go with the kids and running the hotspot.

But I did do a clean flash of the build.
