Android O notification problem

Hi all,

Updated to Android O the other day.

I'm having a problem with Notifications though. Whenever they come through I get no sound. It vibrates (if told do so) and the light flashes.

I've checked the Notification channels in the settings of both the app and general settings. In both it's told to make a sound but nothing, nada.

I'm new to this notification channels stuff so wondering if I had that set up wrong. The apps are set at Urgent level (make noise and pop up on screen).

Is anyone else having this issue? Can anyone help?

If you haven't done so already, make sure your notification ringtone is still valid / still exists on your device.

Just checked. They're all still there and working when I select them. Just not working when a notification comes through. Just vibrate! Very odd.

check the permissions of the specific apps and make sure they have permission for Storage

Running into the same issue. All push notifications have been checked and I get sporadically notified.

Sounds like another issue with the services app like a few years ago.

Well. I checked all permissions and they all had storage. So I deleted all my custom tones, downloaded them again and reassigned them.

Then I restarted the phone and touch wood.... They've worked fine since then. A bit weird though.
