I'm giving my retired Samsung galaxy S5 to my wife. Without going into detail, she wants to use the Phone only for Phone calls and Text messages. (she has an old 3G phone that won't work after 1/1/2023).
My plan is to wipe the phone with a FACTORY reset, have Verizon add her number to the SIM CARD and I will add text messages to the phone.
She is a total techniphobic and only wants the phone for PHONE CALLS.
Keeping in mind that she is a techniphobic, does anyone have any suggestions or comments? Thanks

You should definitely use 'Easy Mode' on the launcher if she wants an easy interface to deal with. You can limit background data too if you don't want her opening apps by mistake and consuming unwanted mobile data.
