Question MS Exchange Account Keeps Disappearing

I use a Windows app called AkrutoSync to connect MS Outlook to my Android phone (I have an A36 5G). It connects through an MS Exchange account to their servers. Everything works great most of the time. But since I moved to a new phone the Exchange account keeps getting deleted somehow. Plus the option to create a new Exchange account won't show until I reload GMail, which seems to fix the Exchange issue. I have no idea what's going on, and neither does AkrutoSync tech support.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Assuming that you're using the Gmail app (as opposed to the stock Mail app), try clearing the app cache/data for the Gmail app in Settings>Apps. Then set up the Gmail app again with your Google account as well as with MS Exchange.

Would the standard Outlook app not work for you?
You can have the MS Authenticator app as well, but it's not really needed any more. The One Drive app is good as well
I find the Outlook app great for my preferred email address, ___ @outlook.com, but it also covers MS calendar, contacts etc.
I didn't have good experiences putting my Yahoo or Outlook / Live accounts on the Gmail app.

I love OneDrive, but i cannot get the Android Outlook app to work. I think it's mainly my weird provider on the other side of the world. I can't find anything on their end on how to get connected with the application.

OK I started all over again, reconfigured the software, and made a new Exchange account. It works again, but there's still no explanation for why the account keeps disappearing in the first place. Thanks!

Sometimes I just chalk it up to "wonky data," which is why clearing the data can be helpful. Let us know if the problem comes back!
