Dear all,

I just bought the nexus 6 and I noticed a problem on the battery usage. I unplugged the charger at about 1am and left the phone totally idle until I woke up at 10am. The battery went down to 61% from 100% and the battery drain was mainly contributed by the Android OS. Below is the screenshot of the battery usage:

Is this normal? Is there any solution to stop the battery drain by the Android OS?

PS: everything is running on stock on my phone and the phone is not rooted.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums. I am guessing you got an update to 5.0.1? If so, did you do a reset or at least a cache clear in recovery?

Factory reset + cache wipe in recovery mode solved the problem!

Thank you!

Shoot, last time I cleared the cache in recovery the cache partition failed to remount and I had to factory reset my phone... which took a couple tries

Shamu to you too *splash*
