Android OS Gen 3 Smart watch saying contacts not found

Hello, I have an Android OS Gen 3 Smart watch and when I go to apps and tap contacts is says "Contacts Not Found" I have my phone paired with the watch and I do have contacts.
I tried factory resetting it and setting it up again put it still says "Contacts Not Found". Please help

Open the Wear OS app and go to Advanced Settings, then Accounts. Is your Google account selected properly there? Also select Privacy & Personal Data, and make sure Cloud Sync is turned on.

On the phone, go to Settings>Apps, select Wear OS, then Permissions, and make sure Contacts is turned on there.

Yes thank you. The Wear OS Contacts permission was not on. It is now fixed.
